Something happens in Bodegas La Purísima that their wines jump among the best.
On this occasion the award obtained is the silver medal of the International Wine Challenge, for the wine Consentido Monastrell 2015.
This competition judges the wines according to their fidelity to the style, region and vintage. Through its 34 editions, this British competition has elaborated a meticulous process. In which each winning wine has been tasted three times blindly by at least 10 members of the jury. Possibly it is the contest, along with Decanter, where you see greater proportion of “Master of Wine” among the jury.
The Consentido range awakens interest because of its high value for money. As well its renewed labels that attract attention and arouse a smile to many who discover them for the first time.
Asking the winemaker Pedro Jose Azorín tells us his elaboration: – Consentido Monastrell has been made with 100% Monastrell grapes from our vineyards. In particular, we select grapes from plots with strains of more than 25 years. The harvest was carried out at the beginning of October, the grapes were in cold soak before fermentation. Once fermented, the wine was transferred to the barrels. With that slight step through the wood, the wild aromas are highlighted and elegant and soft notes of oak are added. It is a quality wine and very easy to drink.-
On the other hand, Trapío 2012 wine was not empty and has been awarded a Commended, the bluish distinction awarded by the IWC.
