Bodegas La Purísima gets two gold medals in the Sélections Mondiales Des Vins competition

After the gold medals obtained for our wines in the CWSA 2021 and Mundus Vini 2021 competition, Bodegas La Purísima has once again been recognized in one of the most prestigious international competitions.

This new success took place in the 28th edition of the prestigious Sélections Mondiales Des Vins competition of Canada, held this year in the city of Montreal between October 6 and 10 of this year.

The Sélections Mondiales Des Vins contest is considered the largest and most important in all of North America. It is also the most influential in Canada, as shown by the fact that it is the only one held with the sponsorship of the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine) and VINOFED (World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions).

The jury for this competition is made up of 60 renowned representatives of the Canadian wine industry. The result of the tastings carried out during the four days of the contest has been very positive for our winery.

Our Consentido Monastrell Barrica 2019 has been awarded a Grand Gold. This wine, made with 100% Monastrell grapes from our selected vineyards, received this assessment that allowed it to be part of the list of the 50 best scores. He obtained 94 points which has earned him to be in the Top10 of the Contest.

The SAQ (Société des Alcools du Québec) has chosen our Consentido Monastrell Barrica among the 25 most outstanding wines, which will soon be listed in its Selections section (most special wines).

This is not the only good news. Our Old Hands Roble 2019 also received another Gold Medal in recognition of its different nuances and the aromas provided by the aromatic herbs that grow in the mountains that surround our organic vineyards.

For Bodegas La Purísima, the recognition of our wines is not only a matter of pride, but it is also a great opportunity to make ourselves known abroad and promote knowledge of the D.O. Yecla.
